(concern about this later for others using Beta) Adguard Home Pi4 gave you plenty of info, easy to see what each device is doing within you home network, and customize rules per device. I switched the DNS on my router to the Beta IPV4 DNS. (Beta costs vs Pi4, TBD.) I was using dual Pi4 Adguard Home with TLS and HTTPS pointing to cloudflare DNS and my router DNS was pointing to each Pi4. This is for somebody with a little more technical knowledge of how to setup Adguard Home on Pi4, also requires a financial investment. TBD on if additional added features of the Beta will be worth the cost over the free browser extensions. If any of these people have an issue you can manage the Beta rules from any web browser, while the browser extensions you'd have to help somebody manage the rules. I'd say the browser extensions are something everybody should run and you can easily install on your partners/parents/kids/etc computers without much technical knowledge. Beta breaks it down even further, adding in Country Destination, Company, and few other details. They give you an overall picture of whats being blocked but not as granular as the Beta. Obviously great set of apps with plenty of features and always with you anytime you leave your home network. So far it seems very familiar to Adguard Home on my pi4.Īdguard Adblocker and Adguard Extra Browser extensions.
